Alexa and Google Home switch your relays, read your sensors and lock your doors. Siri works through the LinArt app. Voice assistants are part of the Home plan and above; the settings are under Settings › 🎙 Voice assistants.
What works by voice
Device
Examples
Note
Relays (lights, sockets, heating)
"Alexa, turn on workshop light." · "Hey Google, turn off the coffee maker."
Every relay channel is its own device; names are the dashboard's (device name, channel label).
Sensors
"What's the temperature in the living room?" · "What's the humidity?" · "What's the CO2 level?"
Temperature, humidity and CO₂, read only. The room comes from the floor plan.
Doors (LockHub)
"Alexa, lock the front door." · "Hey Google, unlock the front door."
Locking always; unlocking only with a voice code / PIN (below). The door rules of Doors & codes apply: a door that needs a second confirmation answers "open it in the app".
Linking gives the assistant access to every home where you are owner, co-admin or member (viewer: sensors only). Every voice command is listed under Settings › Voice assistants › Last voice commands; door commands also appear in the door log with the channel "voice".
Linking Amazon Alexa
Alexa app → More → Skills & Games → search LinArt → Enable to use.
The LinArt page "Connect Amazon Alexa with your LinArt home" opens. If you are not signed in, sign in first (passkey / two-factor included) — you come back automatically. Then Connect Amazon Alexa.
Alexa discovers devices and shows relays, sensors and doors. Groups and rooms are assigned in the Alexa app.
Unlocking by voice: in the Alexa app open the door's Settings → enable "Unlock by voice" and set a four-digit voice code. Without it Alexa only locks.
Linking Google Home
Google Home app → + → Set up device → Works with Google → LinArt.
The LinArt page "Connect Google Home with your LinArt home" opens → sign in (if needed) → Connect Google Home. Google fetches the devices at once; rooms are suggested from the floor plan.
Unlocking by voice: set a PIN (4–8 digits) under Settings › Voice assistants › Voice PIN. Google asks for it before every unlock. Without a PIN Google asks for a spoken confirmation — a PIN is safer.
Apple: Siri and Apple Home
Siri works through the LinArt iOS app (from version 1.0.13) — no linking, with the same names, rooms and doors as Alexa and Google. Phrases:
"Hey Siri, unlock {door} in LinArt" · "lock {door} in LinArt" — unlocking with a spoken confirmation; a door that needs a second confirmation answers "open it in the app".
"Turn on / off {relay} in LinArt"
"What is the temperature in {room} in LinArt" — temperature, humidity and CO₂ of the room's sensors (rooms from the floor plan).
The Shortcuts app offers the LinArt actions Unlock door, Lock door, Switch relay, Room climate, Gateway status, Send SOS — build your own scenes from them ("I'm home" → door + light). Siri commands appear with the others under Last voice commands.
Apple Home (HomeKit) cannot be connected through a cloud. The way is a Matter bridge on the LinArt Bridge: Apple Home, Google Home and Alexa then pair the same gateway by QR code directly in the home network (no cloud). In progress — the app shows the "Apple Home · Matter" card with the QR code as soon as the gateway offers it.
Settings
Linked assistants: status and Unlink. Afterwards the assistant gets no answers until you link it again. "Sign out everywhere" and deleting the account remove all links.
Voice PIN for Google (above).
Devices the assistants may see: untick a device to hide it; then search devices again in the Alexa / Google app.
Last voice commands: the last 20 commands with their result.
If something does not work
"The device is not responding": the relay / sensor has sent no data for more than 30 minutes — check the dashboard.
A door will not unlock by voice: the voice code (Alexa) or PIN (Google) is missing, or the door needs a second confirmation / is closed for members (door rules). Locking always works.
New devices are missing: run "discover devices" in the assistant's app — LinArt does not announce new devices by itself.
"Relink your account": the link was removed (settings, "sign out everywhere") — repeat the steps above.
