LinArt — Privacy Policy

Overview

LinArt is an iOS application for managing your own LinArt-brand IoT devices (LoRa Gateway, Smart Relay, Display Hub, Sensor Hub, Lock Gateway, Solis Bridge). We respect your privacy and collect the minimum amount of data necessary to provide the service. We do not sell or share your data with third parties.

Data we collect

EmailAccount credentials

When you sign up or sign in, we store your email address on our servers (host.crm-iot.com) linked to your account. We use it only to authenticate you and to send transactional emails (account confirmation, password reset).

Device IDsIoT device identifiers

The app reads device identifiers (LoRa addresses, MAC addresses, ThingsBoard IDs) from your paired LinArt devices. These IDs are stored on our servers to route telemetry, push notifications and remote commands back to your devices.

LocationPrecise location (optional)

Used only for compass navigation to GPS waypoints saved in the offline map feature and for SOS broadcasting (latitude/longitude added to mesh-network alerts). Location is stored on the device by default. If you save a waypoint and share it via mesh, coordinates are transmitted to the recipient gateway only.

You can revoke location access at any time in iOS Settings → LinArt → Location. The app continues to work without it; only compass and SOS-with-location are disabled.

Data we do not collect

• ❌ No tracking SDKs, no analytics SDKs (no Google Analytics, no Crashlytics, no Firebase)
• ❌ No advertising identifiers (IDFA / advertising tracking)
• ❌ No camera or microphone access
• ❌ No contacts, photos, calendar, or health data
• ❌ No keystroke logging or screen recording
• ❌ We do not collect data about apps installed on your device

How we use your data

The data we collect serves exactly one purpose: making LinArt work for you:

• Authenticating your sign-in to your devices
• Delivering push notifications for alerts and SOS events
• Routing remote commands (relay toggles, SOS broadcasts, etc.) to your gateways
• Showing your device telemetry on dashboards and charts
• Supporting mesh-network features (chat, navigation to peer gateways)

Encryption & security

• All communication with our servers uses HTTPS (TLS 1.2+)
• Mesh chat messages are end-to-end encrypted using ChaCha20-Poly1305 (Apple CryptoKit)
• Authentication tokens are stored in iOS Keychain (hardware-backed when available)
• Backend servers are hosted in EU data centres

Data retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account exists. If you delete your account, all personal data is removed within 30 days. Telemetry from your devices is retained for up to 13 months to support trend analytics, then deleted.

Your rights (GDPR, CCPA)

• Access — request a copy of all data we store about you
• Rectification — fix incorrect personal information
• Erasure — delete your account and all associated data
• Portability — export your data in machine-readable format
• Objection — opt out of specific processing

Children

LinArt is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If a parent or guardian believes their child has provided us data, please email vladimir@linart.club for immediate removal.

Third parties

LinArt depends on the following infrastructure providers, which process data on our behalf under standard data processing agreements:

• Apple Inc. — Push Notification Service (APNs) for delivering alerts
• Apple Inc. — App Store / TestFlight for app distribution
• Hetzner Online GmbH — server hosting in EU

Changes

We may update this policy as we add features. The effective date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be announced in the app and via email.
